Andrew Mulvey
Director
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and Anthropology. After leaving University, Andrew held a number of
research positions at the Department of Employment and Training and Homeswest. Andrew then worked full-time at the Department of
Employment and Training for seven years, holding several positions until he left the Department in the year 2000 after filling the
position of Director, Policy and Research for 18 months.
During his time at the Department, Andrew oversaw the development of numerous State policies on vocational education and training and an
annual research program into employment and training and labour market issues. Andrew also had responsibility for the provision of advice
on Commonwealth/State relations and funding arrangements and worked closely with Ministers and senior government representatives.
After leaving the Department, Andrew worked at a St George Bank subsidiary, Sealcorp Holdings (now ASGARD Wealth Solutions) for just under
five years. As the manager of ASGARD, one of Australia’s leading investment platforms, Sealcorp Holdings managed over $18 billion in funds
and serviced approximately 4,500 financial advisers around Australia.
Andrew initially worked at Sealcorp as manager of enterprise information technology and subsequently worked for 14 months designing and
overseeing a major dollar value project to replace Sealcorp’s entire e-commerce infrastructure. Following the successful completion of
this major project, Andrew took over ASGARD’s fledging business migration function, overseeing the migration of substantial volumes of
competitor funds into ASGARD in less than two years, establishing ASGARD as a national market leader in this field. Andrew also concurrently
managed several business critical administration areas, implementing a wide range of IT and workflow reforms to improve service levels,
efficiency and reduce costs.
Since leaving Sealcorp, Andrew has re-entered the vocational education and training area, establishing Huntly Consulting Group in mid-2005.
